Pre-Litigation Paralegal

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Chicago, IL office.

About Our Client

Our client is a growing plaintiff personal injury law firm dedicated to advocating for injured individuals. They handle a variety of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and construction-related claims. They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pre-Litigation Paralegal to join their team and play a key role in case preparation.

Job Description

• Assist in managing pre-litigation personal injury cases from inception to settlement.
• Review and summarize medical records and bills to support case evaluations.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and medical providers to gather necessary documentation.
• Draft demand letters and other legal correspondence.
• Maintain and organize case files, track deadlines, and update case management systems.
• Conduct legal research and gather evidence for pre-suit investigations.
• Handle administrative tasks, including ordering medical records, scheduling, and client communication.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in personal injury law (plaintiff or defense).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
