Job Description :

Pay Range : $24.35hr - $29.35hr

  • The Packaging Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automated and manual packaging equipment in compliance with SOPs, GMP, and safety procedures.
  • This role involves manual and automated packaging, documentation, equipment optimization, and collaboration with production teams to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Interact with automated and manual equipment for setup, changeover, and cleaning per SOPs and GMP guidelines.
  • Document all production activities in batch records, log sheets, and electronic systems accurately.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of packaging materials to support continuous operations.
  • Perform manual packaging on an assembly line and handle high-value product vials safely.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 3 hours).
  • Identify, document, and report process deviations to supervisors.
  • Ensure all required training is current and completed before expiration.
  • Work safely with hazardous materials such as Isopropyl Alcohol and Butanone.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and support teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Use computer-based systems for data entry, analysis, inventory management, and communication.
  • Maintain and inspect flammable cabinets and hazardous waste accumulation areas.
  • Optimize automated packaging equipment to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Work daytime shifts with occasional weekend requirements.

    • Basic Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–10 years of experience in a packaging or GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong documentation and basic math skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 6+ years of experience in packaging or equivalent manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working under Good Documentation Practices.
  • Ability to work in controlled environments requiring gowning (hairnet, beard cover, lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, shoe covers, and PPE).
  • Comfortable working with products stored in 2–8°C cold rooms.
