Description :

This position requires Registered Nurses to work in a telemetry / medical surgical setting.

The unit includes a mix of adult patients with some pediatric cases.

Common diagnoses include post-surgical recovery, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, weakness, and cancer.

The RN to patient ratio is 5 : 1.

Navy scrubs are required, and the EMR system used is Epic.

There may be floating to other units as needed.

Candidates must adhere to a fingernail policy where artificial nails are prohibited.

A pass / fail exam will be administered during orientation, with resources provided for successful completion.

Candidates are expected to serve a diverse population with cultural sensitivity.

This role includes working every other weekend.

A driver's license is required for compliance with the radius rule, which necessitates living outside a specified distance from the facility.
