Description:
We're seeking a dedicated and proactive Client Accounting Services (CAS) Specialist to join the CAS Department at our firm. This role involves providing outsourced accounting support to a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality financial services, ensuring compliance, and contributing to process standardization and efficiency.
The position offers flexibility: you can work in-office at our locations in Dunn, NC or Fayetteville, NC, opt for a hybrid arrangement, or work fully remote — whichever best supports your productivity and work-life balance.
About the Role
As a key member of the CAS team, you'll manage outsourced accounting projects from start to finish. This includes monitoring deadlines in Workstream, preparing financial statements, handling reconciliations and adjustments, and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables. You'll serve as a trusted partner to clients while collaborating closely with internal team members to drive service excellence, productivity, and firm growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service Excellence
- Understand and adhere to client deadlines; monitor project due dates in Workstream and coordinate timely delivery of all Outsourced Accounting Projects.
- Scope engagements, manage client expectations, ensure high satisfaction levels, and communicate proactively upward within the firm.
- Conduct thorough self-reviews of work and make necessary corrections before submission to reviewers.
- Take full ownership of assignments, ensuring superior service quality, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Develop and propose solutions when communicating issues to clients or team members.
- Learn from feedback and mistakes to refine approaches and improve performance.
- Maintain a consistently professional demeanor.
- Clearly articulate requests and questions to clients, take detailed notes, and minimize repeat inquiries.
- Keep highly organized records, including open items lists, PBC (Prepared By Client) requests, client files, and workpapers.
People Management & Relationships
- Direct internal questions and issues to the appropriate team members or levels.
- Build strong, effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Proactively update relevant team members on work status and contribute meaningfully in weekly team meetings.
- Act as an enthusiastic team player, adapting to diverse personalities and working styles.

Expertise & Technical Skills
- Effectively manage workflows to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Proficiently use all firm software, tools, and platforms (including Workstream).
- Analyze client data and prepare accurate financial statements.
- Apply knowledge gained from prior engagements to new clients, continuously building expertise.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in client processes.
- Organize, analyze, and interpret facts, information, and research tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
- Identify technical issues, develop alternative solutions, and understand payroll tax and accounting regulations as they apply to specific engagements.
- Recognize the boundaries of your knowledge; ask thoughtful questions and seek guidance to resolve uncertainties.

Requirements:
Qualifications & Attributes to Thrive & Advance- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- At least three (3) years experience in public accounting
