Location : Thomasville, Georgia (31792) – South Georgia healthcare jobs\n

Unit : Cardiac Progressive Unit (CPU) – Stepdown nursing\n

Shift : Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07 : 00 - 19 : 00)\n

Total Hours : 36 hours per week\n

Start Date : December 15, 2025\n

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1610\n

Patient Population : Adult and Geriatric cardiac patients\n

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 5\n

EMR System : Cerner\n

Scrub Color : Royal Blue (not provided)\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state\n

Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience\n

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation\n

IV start and management skills\n

Previous travel nursing experience preferred\n

Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)\n

Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed\n

Minimal to no requested time off, especially during holidays\n

\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n \n

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a clinical setting\n

Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac telemetry rhythms\n

Initiate and manage IVs, cardiac drips (no titration), and vasoactive drips\n

Care for central lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes\n

Administer blood products and manage oxygen therapy for cardiac patients\n

Perform wound care and operate wound vacs\n

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)\n

Respond to rapid response and code situations\n

Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR system\n
