Location: Columbus, OH (Expo Center)
Duration: 12 Months (Start: 11/17)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Job Details

• Hourly Rate: $52/HR
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly

Schedule: M – F | 0700 – 1500 | 40hrs/week Day Shift

Project Scope

The site safety manager will oversee safety for mechanical installation at the Expo Center. Must have a background in piping, sheet metal, and HVAC. Attend safety meetings and ensure proper paperwork for site activity. JHAs/AHAs/Toolbox Talks.

Qualifications

Candidates must have the following requirements:

• OSHA 30, 500, or 510
• 3+ years of constrcution safety

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
• Provide safety training as needed
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required

Skills & Knowledge

Skills:

• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
