Self-Directed Support Professional Advertisement - Community Habilitation (MG-MB)

ARISE / Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a kind, polite, and shy young woman who enjoys doing crafts and working on puzzles. In this role, you will provide support to her while she attends classes at Inclusive U at Syracuse University. You will assist with note-taking, navigating the campus, accessing school email, SU's online "blackboard" and helping her engage in on-campus activities. You will also assist her with other recreational activities that she is interested in participating in as well as improving her independent living skills. She is seeking a friendly individual with strong organizational skills. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience.

Hours and Days of work :

Current schedule would be Monday, Wednesday and Fridays to align with her Inclusive U class schedule.

Payrate :

$20.00 per hour. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications :

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person's home and / or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
