Must have enough technical ability to: Attach control panels, actuators, controllers, servo motors, sensors and communication switches to machines; Wire up low voltage direct current power, ethernet communication and control circuits; Install, upgrade, license and configure human machine interface software into control panels and work stations; and Programming, testing and debugging control systems. Activities: • Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineers' instructions, documentation and drawings • Configure and program software and hardware components. • Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, and systems under simulated operating conditions. • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to identify, troubleshoot, debug and resolve problems. • Draw or modify diagrams and write engineering specifications to clarify design details, functional criteria and experimental results.
