UMMO offers exquisite regional Italian cuisine. We are currently seeking a Line Cook for our renowned restaurant in River North.

Job Summary : We are seeking skilled and dedicated line cooks to join our dynamic culinary team. As a line cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure, and passion for creating delicious dishes will contribute to our customers' exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipe specifications and established standards.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure food preparation areas are clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain health and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor food quality and presentation throughout the cooking process.
- Assist in the development and improvement of menu items and recipes.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain an effective and positive work environment.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role.Solid knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one.Preferred Qualifications :
