Position Summary :
Under indirect supervision and following JWCE’s Standard Operating Procedures, the Final Assembler performs a variety of repetitive and low complexity assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of JWCE’s family of products and equipment. Assembly process may include fitting, mounting, aligning, adjusting, fit-and-function testing, repairing, troubleshooting and diagnosing, as well as training of entry level assemblers.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
- Organizes and monitors supplies of labels, nameplates, rivets, grease lines, cleaners and all other supplies required for Final Assembly, requesting replenishment to supervisor as required
- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches and written instructions to assemble parts or equipment per customer specifications
- Ensures there are no faulty components during final assembly process and tests assembled parts or products to ensure conformance to fit and function specifications
- Verifies that all paperwork associated with the order is completed and filled out correctly
- Uses simple shop tools to install feeding or lifting mechanisms and framework to units
- Applies the correct safety labels and nameplates to the different model units per product specifications
- Cleans finished units in preparation for shipping operation
- Complies with company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
- Maintains a clean and organized work area per Company’s 5S standards ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Experience, Education, & Skills :
Required :
High School Degree .1+ years’ experience assembling products in industrial plant environmentHighly self-motivated, able to work independentlyFlexible, reliable, strong work ethic, dependable team player, positive, constructive attitudeStrong attention to detail and genuine interest for quality and customer serviceMust be able to use overhead cranes and hoists for moving or laying down large machinesMust be able to safely operate a pallet jack, forklift, hand, power, hydraulic and air driven toolsMust be able to follow written and verbal instructions that could include basic math and calculationsMust be able to read and interpret assembly diagrams, production and sales ordersMust be able to lift to 50 pounds unassistedDesirable : Associates Degree or equivalent Technical Certificate

Safety and 5S : No Accidents, incidents or unsafe conditions in his area; 5S activities up to date
Quality : Completes orders with 95%-100% First Pass Yield
Delivery : Completes 100% of orders according to schedule
Inventory : No stockouts of labels, nameplates, rivets, grease lines, cleaners and all other supplies required
Productivity : Completes work and resolves issues found from upstream processes within 1 hour
