Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position is for an Instructional Teacher specializing in Assistive Technology, serving a self-contained classroom for Kindergarten and 1st-grade students. The role supports low-incident students, many of whom use AAC devices for communication. The assignment is a contract position for the full school year, beginning August 19.

Location : Aurora, IL

Grade Levels : Kindergarten and 1st Grade

Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 15 AM 3 : 45 PM

Classroom Type : Self-contained

Caseload : Approximately 6 students requiring specialized instruction

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to each students unique learning and communication needs
• Utilize assistive technology, including AAC devices, to support student engagement and communication
• Implement IEP goals and maintain accurate progress documentation
• Collaborate with support staff, families, and related service providers to enhance student outcomes
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth
