The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct support to clients in a detox and residential treatment setting, ensuring safety, structure, and continuity of care. This role involves regular client rounds, observation and documentation of medication administration, and monitoring client behavior in accordance with program policies and clinical direction.
The BHT assists with client intakes, conducts inventory of personal belongings, and ensures proper food labeling and compliance with health and safety standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean, orderly, and recovery-focused environment through routine house cleaning and reset procedures.
Additionally, the BHT facilitates structured groups, supports therapeutic programming, and communicates observations to the clinical team. Certification as a RADT or SUDRC is required or in progress.
This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, strong observation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity detox environment.
