Zachary Piper Solutions is seekinga DevOps Automation Engineer to support a critical, long-term, Defense program near Boulder, CO. The team is seeking an individual with expertise implementing, automating, and scaling services within cloud environments for Federal Defense and National Intelligence customers.
Location : Boulder, CO (100% on-site, 9 / 80 schedule)
Clearance : Top Secret, TS / SCI preferred

Responsibilities :
- Assist with the design, automate, and maintain container orchestration platforms.
- Build, configure, and deploy core infrastructure services—including identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with the team to plan and implement major product updates and enhancements.
- Provide architecture guidance, data migration implementation, and troubleshooting support to the implementation of services in the cloud
- Create pipelines using Ansible playbooks, and / or terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from creation to configuration
- Support production grade applications in virtualized and cloud environments using automation
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience or Masters and 6+ years of related experienceActive Top Secret clearance required, TS / SCI highly preferredExperience working with, or are familiar with the differences between, public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and mixed cloud environmentsContainer technologies such as Docker, or KubernetesDeployment or use of continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or ChefUtilizes Ansible playbooks and / or terraform configurations to automate administrative tasksExperience with encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, or security hardening, and auditingInstallation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIOManagement of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services, and / or AzurePlatform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShiftOpen source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (such as RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch)Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX) / Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms)Compensation :
