Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for one of our retail clients in Des Moines, IA. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work as a member of a cross functional agile team focused on building a mobile application from scratch. You'll create reusable components that are shared across many application and work with other team members to cross-pollinate ideas and skills. You'll find, monitor, and address performance issues and take features from conception to final production deployment. In the role, you'll contribute heavily to user story definition that takes our technology stack into consideration, but also continue to push the bounds of what is possible. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment and mentor other engineers. Software Engineers will be working on full stack development with customer facing product but all working on the back end as well. The annual salary for this role is between $130,000 - $150,000.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of hands on experience with React on the front end

7+ years of experience with Node on the back end

Willingness to work in paired programming

Retail experience or proven ability to work in a fast paced, Enterprise to mid-size environment

Ability to pick up any technology and be adaptable to different situations.

Proven experience in developing and creating secure, resilient, maintainable applications.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

React Native

Hands on experience with Ruby, GraphWL or Mongo

Soft Skills : Intellectually curious, strategic thinker who enjoys creative problem solving, friendly, call out a problem, respectful, and enjoys working in fast paced environment
