Job Title : Medical Surgical Unit Nurse Supervisor

Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Unit Nurse Supervisor to lead our evening staff in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the direction of patient care in the medical surgical setting, ensuring that all patient needs are met in accordance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Direct and supervise evening nursing staff in the Medical Surgical Unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and management regarding nursing duties and hospital policy interpretation.
• Ensure high standards of patient care are maintained at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in clinical decision-making.

Requirements :

Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean. Completes annual education requirements. Maintains regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, local regulations and accrediting organization standards related to the Medical Surgical Unit and, as appropriate, to the hospital. Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time. Wears identification while on duty. Attends annual review and performs departmental in-services. Maintains standard of professional society procedures and ethical behavior. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments, and staff. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire safety, emergency management and infection prevention and control. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
