The Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Division of Geriatric Medicine within the Department of Medicine seeks a full-time geriatrician physician-scientist tenure/tenure-track candidate for a faculty position at any rank.
The Department resides in the highly collaborative environment at Vanderbilt University, which provides a strong and collegial environment for interdisciplinary clinical teams, fruitful research collaborations, and the development of innovative educational initiatives at all levels.
Expected research activities in aging would be in translational studies or health services research.
The appointed faculty will maintain a productive, independently funded research program, provide direct patient care, and actively participate in the teaching of graduate and medical students.
The physician-scientist track provides approximately 80% of the time for research in collaboration with established investigators in health services research, clinical epidemiology, quality improvement, patient safety, behavioral sciences, and biomedical informatics.
The candidate would join a growing Division of Geriatric Medicine comprising physicians, research scientists, advanced practice nurses, gerontologists, and a clinical pharmacist.

Qualifications
Candidates must possess an MD or MD/PhD or equivalent in a relevant field of Geriatrics.
Applicants must be board-certified or eligible in geriatrics and able to obtain medical licensure in Tennessee.
All clinical faculty must have an MD/DO, have completed an ACGME-approved Geriatric Medicine fellowship, and meet all state requirements for employment.
