Special Education Associate Attorney (3–5 Years Experience) | Pittsburgh, PA- MUST HAVE ( Special Education Law & School Law experience )

Salary will be based on the candidate’s experience and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Special Education Attorney to join a collaborative team serving public school districts across Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of education, policy, and advocacy—while making a direct impact on schools, students, and communities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Pennsylvania Bar license (required)
• 3–5 years of experience in education or public sector law
• Minimum 3+ years of direct Special Education law experience (IDEA, Section 504)
• Familiarity with Sunshine Act and Right to Know Law strongly preferred
• Exceptional writing, advocacy, and analytical skills
• Collaborative team player with a proactive, client-focused mindset

• Special Education Law (IDEA, Section 504 compliance, IEPs, FAPE, and due process)
• Student Rights, Policies & Discipline
• School Employment & Labor Law
• Construction & Facility Planning
• Financial Solutions for Public Districts
• Collective Bargaining Negotiations
• Governance for School Boards & Administrators
• Open Records & Meetings Compliance (Sunshine Act & Right to Know Law)
