Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification within one year of employment in job

BLS certified through AHA
Description:
Provides procedural support to physicians including hemodynamic monitoring, electrophysiologic monitoring, sterile technique, and radiologic support.
Maintains a well-stocked and clean work environment.
Understands general use of radiologic and monitoring equipment.
Performs departmental functions within an electronic health record system.
Communicates with technical coordinator and material coordinator to maintain equipment and supply.
Operates specialized equipment according to protocols.
Assists physician in using specialized equipment during procedures.
Attends vendor in-services to learn new equipment.
Supports new technologies.
Performs patient care appropriate to the patient population.
Assists in transporting patients to and from the department.
Performs appropriate patient care in a sterile environment under the guidance of the physician and registered nurse.
Assists in other areas of cardiology as needed.
Supports unit and hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities.
Attends mandatory in-services and meets department educational standards.
Accurately completes any variance reports and modifies behaviors to comply with care standards.
Stocks and maintains departmental supplies.
Performs environmental scrubs to promote an aseptic environment.
Assists in setting up procedure rooms each morning.
Performs other necessary functions as deemed appropriate by management.
Communicates with material coordinator concerning supply issues, technical coordinator concerning equipment issues.
Utilizes independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations.
Works directly with patients and/or customers through face-to-face interaction.
Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
Interacts frequently with individuals at a director level or above.
Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are essential.
Ability to integrate the analysis of data to discover facts and develop knowledge.
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
Detail-oriented approach is required in examining clinical and numerical data.
