Analysis of mainframe applications, conducting impact assessments, and translating technical findings into business rules and process flow diagrams. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies. REXX automation. Familiarity with Mainframe migration / modernization. Exposure API integration and microservices concepts. Integrating with IBM MQ or IBM DataPower. Bachelor's degree. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
As a Tech Lead should have experience in solutioning and worked in multi-vendor environment.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Technical Lead to analyze, design and solution building for enterprise-level applications on IBM Mainframe systems. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS along with a solid understanding of batch and online processing and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, document and solutioning of mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
- Perform requirement analysis, design, and code enhancements.
- Analysis of mainframe applications, conducting impact assessments, and translating technical findings into business rules.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Participate in migration exercises.
- Provide technical documentation and support for audits.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and mentor team members, while driving process improvements and initiating automation using modern tools and emerging technologies.
