Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will work on Flexo, Folder, and Gluer lines. You will assist operators with changeovers, setups, and startups of machinery, ensuring efficient operation. Your role involves loading and unloading machinery with materials, following work orders to set up customer orders and specifications, and stacking and palletizing orders. You will also wrap finished orders into bundles, bundle finished cardboard, and stage it for shipping, all while using measurement devices for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with changeovers, setups, and startups of machinery.
• Load and unload machinery with materials.
• Follow work orders to set up customer orders and specifications.
• Stack orders and palletize them.
• Wrap finished orders into bundles.
• Bundle and stage finished cardboard for shipping.
• Manually load and unload machines.
• Use measurement devices to ensure accuracy.
• Bundle cardboard into stacks according to customer orders.
• Load boxes onto the production line.

Essential Skills

• Machine Operating Experience.
• Experience with setups, changeovers, and startups.
• Ability to adjust machinery for speed, size, and weights.
• Experience with corrugated, cartoning, or packaging materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with automated machinery.

Work Environment

The work environment is extremely automated and fast-paced. You will work with 2-3 other people but will operate independently once trained. The culture is laid back and focuses on quality. Steel toe boots are required, and the work attire includes jeans or work pants and a shirt. Safety glasses are provided. Shifts available include the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday (2 PM to 10 PM), the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday (10 PM to 6 AM), with initial training on the 1st shift (6 AM to 2 PM).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
