[job_card.job_description]Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 5 years working as a medical assistant with 2+ years of recent experience as a medical assistant in hand / arm clinic or for a hand / arm provider. Strong focus on patient quality and customer service Excellent follow through to see tasks to completion Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills Possesses a high degree of self-motivation and produces high quality work with minimal supervision Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Generous PTO package and paid holidays Company-paid life insurance and long term disability insurance Ability to purchase accident insurance, short and long-term disability insurance. Description : POSITION OVERVIEW :
Responsible for assisting physicians with basic patient care and providing unparallel customer service to patients while adhering to established protocols, processes and volume without ever compromising quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION :
- Basic rooming duties which include cast application & removal, suture / staple removal, blood draws, & autoclave use
- Phreesia / MIPS Input
- Maintain supplies, equipment, prepare and clean exam / procedure rooms, stocking and sterilizing instruments ensuring patient rooms are stocked, cleaned, and presentable
- Assist physician as needed during procedure; monitor patient in recovery area
- Ensure all initial consultations, pertinent notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are entered in the patient’s file and available to the physician prior to patient arrival
- Provide patient education with regards to office policies, medications, management of pain / injury / disease, home treatments and special diets using appropriate medical terminology as directed by the physician
- Ensure all consent forms are completed, signed and filed
- Respond to patient / physician / pharmacy calls calls / messages and assist with their needs
- Assisting the front desk with rescheduling patients, scheduling surgeries, enter blocks for MD & order x-rays
- Straight Connector 31, Shape OSHA sign off lists
