This position ensures proactive detection and initial troubleshooting of events affecting network and service performance. Working closely with Level II/Level III technicians and Incident Managers, the Tier I Technician executes escalation protocols, documents incident details, and supports restoration efforts to maintain SLA compliance and customer satisfaction. This role provides an ideal foundation for advancement into higher technical and operational leadership positions within the NOC organization. If you are excited by the opportunity to join our team as a NOC Technician, we encourage you to apply today!

We pride ourselves in leading from the front to advise, assist, and accompany our clients through their toughest technological and operational challenges. We always deliver results (spelled re-SILTTs)!

As a small business we know that the ability to achieve our mission demands we take care of our own by providing our team members with a variety of benefits that allow them to live fulfilling, healthy, balanced, meaningful lives. Thats why we believe in offering paid healthcare, ultra-competitive 401K matching, accrued paid time off and fixed holiday leave, continuous learning and professional development incentives, and promote a sustainable work-life balance.

A CALL TO ACTION:

As we charge ahead in the competitive world of technology and sustainment, we need a dedicated NOC Operator to support our current and future projects. This critical position will collaborate with fellow SILTT teammates and stakeholders. As we staff up to support a new program, this NOC Operator will have the opportunity to be on the ground floor and help define the trajectory of our future!

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

In this role, you will support a high-impact Network Operations Center that forms the backbone of enterprise service delivery. This role provides the opportunity to support NOC best practices and shape a world-class operations culture that scales while maintaining customer trust and operational excellence. 2. Incident Handling and Escalation:

  • Create and update incident tickets accurately and promptly within SLA timelines.
  • Execute predefined troubleshooting steps or scripts for recurring alerts.
  • Escalate incidents to Level II/III Operators or vendors when issues exceed standard resolution scope.
  • Communicate incident status and handover details clearly during shift transitions.
3. Operational Support and Maintenance:

  • Support scheduled maintenance by monitoring change windows and identifying post-change anomalies.
  • Assist in validation testing following upgrades or configuration adjustments.
  • Participate in network testing, inventory audits, and patching activities as directed.
4. Documentation and Knowledge Management:

  • Maintain accurate runbook updates and contribute to troubleshooting documentation.
  • Report recurring alert patterns, false positives, and opportunities for tool optimization.
  • Assist in maintaining asset and circuit inventory accuracy within CMDB systems.
5. Training and Team Collaboration:

  • Participate in onboarding and cross-training programs for technical skills development.
  • Collaborate with other NOC teams (Facilities, Security, Change, Incident) to ensure integrated operations.
  • Adhere to all NOC policies for security, access control, and data handling.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
