Job Overview

As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the inbound and outbound movement of goods, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This full-time position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Be a team player and work together and providing SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Performing additional duties as required or requested by your CSTL or CSLA

Key Responsibilities

• Logging Items:
  • Accurately record all incoming and outgoing shipments in our inventory management system
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, and conditions of received items against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintain detailed logs of all transactions, including date, time, and relevant shipment information
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed and filed for all received items
• Box Pick-ups:
  • Coordinate and schedule pick-ups with various carriers and delivery services
  • Prepare items for shipment by properly packaging, labeling, and addressing boxes
  • Ensure all necessary documentation, including customs forms for international shipments, is accurately completed
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move boxes and pallets
  • Maintain a clean and organized loading dock area to facilitate efficient pick-ups
• Processing Outbound Items:
  • Review and verify outgoing orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Select appropriate packaging materials and methods to ensure safe transit of items
  • Utilize various shipping software and systems to generate shipping labels and track shipments
  • Coordinate with internal departments to prioritize and expedite urgent shipments
  • Maintain accurate records of all outbound shipments, including tracking numbers and estimated delivery dates
• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to management
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and shipping regulations
