Senior Software Engineer – Ada Programming

Salary: $86,800 - 165,200 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing complex systems and applications utilizing the Ada programming language.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory as the ability to secure a government-issued security clearance is necessary.
• Possession of an active Secret security clearance is preferred.
• Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, especially in high-concurrency and distributed systems.
• Experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages, such as C/C++ or Java, is advantageous.
• Knowledge in multithreading, memory management, or performance optimization in intricate environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Ada for intricate systems and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, ensuring proper system integration and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for enhanced performance and efficiency in complex contexts.
• Write and maintain thorough documentation for software applications, covering system architecture and design specifications.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Keep updated with industry trends and advancements in new technologies, particularly concerning complex systems.
• Occasionally undertake light travel and off-hours testing may be required, including 2nd or 3rd shifts.
