Senior Content Writer

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

The senior content writer is responsible for developing compelling digital content that engages readers, optimizes user experiences, drives conversions, and communicates competitive advantages on our web and app platforms. This person collaborates closely with the marketing and product teams as well as
copywriters, editors, designers, producers, and studio leads.

Primary responsibilities

• Create marketing copy for ecommerce/digital landing pages, banners, and ads.

• Follow brand copy best practices and advocate based on understanding of digital audience behaviors and needs.

• Apply experience/understanding of SEO/UX/UI writing to the proper channels.

• Gain understanding of target audiences, industry, and competitors to understand pain points, trends, and opportunities to differentiate content from the competition.

• Think outside the box to innovate the content and user experience while maintaining brand consistency.

• Concept, pitch, and implement ideas for both process improvement and content application.

• Grow and leverage a deep understanding of AT&T brand principles and guidelines, ensuring consistent voice and messaging across projects.

• Work cross-functionally with multiple business units to implement feedback while still maintaining the integrity of copy team and brand standards.

• Collaborate with fellow copywriters and copy editors with a growth mindset.

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Core competencies & requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, marketing, communications, advertising, or similar.

• Minimum of three years' experience in digital copywriting (web content/ecommerce preferred).

• Able to share portfolio or digital writing samples that exhibit relevant experience.

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of collaboration with other roles.

• Experience writing for brand-specific campaigns for B2B and/or B2C audiences.

• Knowledgeable in digital marketing fundamentals and industry standards.

• Solutions-orientated thinker that can simplify detailed, jargon-heavy copy quickly and accurately to be applied for marketing purposes.

• Deadline-driven with an affinity for process who can proactively anticipate needs, problems, and opportunities.

• Experience with Chicago Manual of Style.

• Experience with Workfront (or similar PMS).

• Comfortable working on both production and creative tasks.

• Experience either driving process improvement or working in an affected area.

Our Senior Content Writer earns between $87,200 - $130,800 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Salary Range:
$85,700.00 - $144,000.00
