Electrical Engineer - Semiconductor Megaproject - Phoenix, AZ
As an Electrical Engineer, you will generate comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that align with industry standards and client requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring all designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the stability and safety of electrical systems, as you will perform detailed calculations and apply established design techniques.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to continue developing their career through one of the most historic construction projects to be built in the United States. This person will sit onsite on the North side of Phoenix, AZ, while gaining competitive industry experience. There are multiple years of work planned out for just this particular project, with additional workload behind it.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models.
- Conduct conduit and conductor sizing, accounting for current loads and environmental variables.
- Assess cable tray fills for proper cable management and future scalability.
- Perform short circuit calculations and select appropriate protective devices.
- Conduct voltage drop calculations to ensure system stability and compliance.
- Ensure all designs comply with electrical codes and regulations.
- Adapt and modify design concepts as needed while maintaining quality control.
- Collaborate with Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary groups.
- Conduct field verifications and site walks to resolve design issues.
Job Requirements:
- . in Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of Electrical Design experience with proficiency in AutoCAD
- 1+ years of experience with Conduit and Conductor Sizing and Cable Tray Fills
- 1+ years of experience with Short Circuit and Voltage Drop calculations
- 1+ years of Field Verification and Site Walk experience
Additional Qualifications:
- Preferred but Not Required - Passed FE exam or EIT license
- Preferred but Not Required - Proficiency in Revit, ETAP, and EasyPower
- Preferred but Not Required - 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Preferred but Not Required - Experience with semiconductor or tool install projects
- Preferred but Not Required - Ability to produce Power Distribution Schematics, Panel Schedules, Lighting and Grounding plans, and other system diagrams
Work Environment
This role requires working 5 days on-site with a start time between 6 AM and 7 AM, offering flexibility. The workweek consists of 40 to 50 hours, with eligibility for overtime. You will report to the Section Manager in an environment with approximately 50 employees on-site. This is a massive megaproject location, with multiple other companies and contractors onsite. This site also has ongoing construction for multiple facilities.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.69 - $48.00/hr.
