Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist performs radiological procedures on patients in a physician practice office and processes the films / images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Job Responsibilities
- Adjust equipment for proper exposure in accordance with radiation safety.
- Perform imaging studies that produce quality images.
- Be attentive to scheduling and work within allotted time provided for procedures.
- Explain x-ray procedures with patients and collect data for physician assessment. Position patient for exam / procedure. Determine proper film for x-ray. Process film.
- Maintain radiographic area in a clean safe and orderly well-stocked condition.
- Assess patients needs and determine appropriate intervention(s).
- Perform necessary clerical functions check in / out.
- Supervise students as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Minimum : Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).Experience Requirements
