Machine Operator

Job Opportunity

The candidate will be responsible for running and maintaining an automated screw machine. This role involves unloading and loading the machine with raw materials, setting up the machine, and inspecting finished products before they proceed to the next work station. Additionally, routine maintenance, such as oil and coolant changes, is required. Sweep, clean, and mop the work area. Pack and unpack materials as needed. Move raw materials and finished products. Monitor the machine during operator breaks, ensuring safety and operational standards are maintained.

Proficiency in loading and unloading materials. Ability to perform sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tasks. Experience with machine operation and minor maintenance. Ability to use hand tools and mechanical operation skills. Capability to inspect products and interpret blueprints. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to pass a math and mechanical aptitude test.

This position is set in a manufacturing environment where safety is a top priority. The candidate will work side by side with an assigned Machine Operator, taking direction to ensure efficient and safe operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, MA. The pay range for this position is $23.10 / hr.
