MA / MSW / M-F Evening shift / 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

The Psychiatric Institute of Washington provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PIW is a 130 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. BASIC FUNCTION:

Provides individual, family and group psychotherapy for selected outpatient and serves as a liaison/consultant with referring clinicians for patients of all ages. Committed to continued professional development and the acquisition of further knowledge/training as needed. Participates in training and research activities conducted by the program and is active in various facets of program development.

• Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or related discipline from an accredited graduate school;
• Licensure (or license-eligible under supervision) in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline (LICSW, Psychologist, LPC);
• Minimum five (5) years experience in delivery of direct clinical services in a behavioral health setting, some portion of which must have included treatment of posttraumatic conditions;
• Experience in individual, group and systems psychotherapy, and clinical case management;
• Experience in outpatient and partial hospital work.
• Expereince working with youth (adolesents), highly preferred
• Knowledge of hospital systems, including intake/admission procedures, experience working with third party payers preferred, but not required. Experience in outpatient, inpatient and partial hospital work preferred
