Job Summary
The Dishwasher / Busser ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware. This role is vital in maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment, allowing the culinary team to focus on food preparation and service. The ideal candidate is diligent, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning & Sanitation
- Wash, clean, and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, sinks, and workstations.
- Ensure proper storage of cleaned utensils, cookware, and dishware.
- Dispose of waste and recyclables according to hygiene and safety guidelines.
Kitchen Support
Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks when required (e.g., peeling vegetables, moving supplies).Help organize and replenish kitchen supplies.Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisors.Follow all kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling procedures.Teamwork & Compliance
Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.Follow instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.Adhere strictly to company hygiene and safety standards.Job Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff in Mandarin or English to understand instructions and maintain workplace safety.Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Able to stand for long hours and lift moderate to heavy weights.Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player.We use eVerify to confirm U.S. Employment eligibility.
