Warehouse Worker – Forklift Operator - $17 an hour

East Moline, Illinois

6am-2pm

11am-7pm

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift for the majority of the shift, including loading and unloading trucks and moving containers, racks, and totes throughout the facility.
• Manage the tote washing process, including loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and scanning plastic totes.
• Work in process lanes for incoming containers and racks, removing manufacturer tags and scanning items with a handheld device.
• Perform light repairs on large plastic containers using hand drills and screwdrivers while standing for the full shift.
• Review and interpret shipping paperwork to ensure accurate container selection and outbound accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work area.

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 6 months of recent forklift or general labor experience.
• Ability to pass a forklift driving test (maneuvering through cones, handling pallets).
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment.

Additional Expectations

• Willingness to work 10 hours of overtime as needed.
• Availability for Saturday shifts.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift with frequent bending (no heavy lifting beyond 50 lbs).

Work Environment

This role is active and hands‑on, involving:

• Standing for full shifts with scheduled breaks.
• Frequent bending and tool use (hand drills, screwdrivers, scanners).
• A fast‑moving warehouse setting where accuracy, safety, and efficiency are essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
