BI Developer

Location:

Boston

The BI Developer will be a member of the team that delivers the Enterprise Business Intelligence program to the various lines of business, for our fast-paced Financial Services client.

Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional groups to understand reporting requirements and solution design
• Translate project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for BI reports
• Design, develop and maintain BI reports consistent with the standards of the EBI program
• Create and enact suitable test plans for these developments
• Install, configure and administer the related applications
• Monitor, tune up and administer BI Environments for quality and optimal performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years’ work experience delivering BI solutions
• 3+ years involved hands-on experience with IBM Cognos 10 or 11 report development
• 3+ years involved hands-on experience doing IBM Cognos 10 or 11 metadata modeling
• 3+ years involved hands-on experience with IBM Cognos 10 or 11 BI administration
• 3+ years with reporting data sources from relational databases like SQL Server
• Understanding and experience with both Dimensional and Relational data sources
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are particularly important in order to work effectively with all members of the project team
• Additional assets: Salesforce, SSIS ETL development, SQL, scripting (JavaScript, Batch etc.), SharePoint
