Job Title: Chassis Development Engineer Location: Santa Clarita, California Pay Range: $43.27/hr $57.69/hr
Collaborate with designers, vehicle performance, and electronics specialists to test, modify, and enhance hardware systems on race cars and track-focused road vehicles.
Validate durability and performance against technical targets through rigorous testing and analysis.
Document and communicate lessons learned throughout the development process.
Design and implement innovative tools and methods to test vehicles, subsystems, and components.
Analyze logged vehicle data to identify root causes of hardware failures and document problem reports.
Track, manage, and resolve vehicle hardware issues by devising and implementing countermeasures.
Coordinate with designers and third-party vendors to implement design changes.
Manage and execute testing of countermeasure parts, new vehicles, and hardware updates.
Liaise regularly with third-party vendors, race teams, and test facilities.
Specify instrumentation, perform data analysis, and write technical reports on development outcomes.
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience with 3D CAD software modeling of race car components.
Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with racing car systems, electronics, and mechanical systems.
Proven experience evaluating and implementing design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
Strong project management experience coordinating development, testing, scheduling, and issue resolution.
Extensive knowledge of racing car mechanical systems and structural elements.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs of vehicle components.
