In the fast-paced world of manufacturing, we require a seasoned Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This is a permanent position, offering a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a key member of our team, your role will involve a range of tasks, including the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our industrial machinery. This is a critical role that directly impacts the efficiency, productivity, and success of our operation.

Responsibilities:

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
2. Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and optimally.
3. Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them using the appropriate tools and techniques.
4. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults within our machinery, including motors and control systems.
5. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
6. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
7. Document and maintain records of all maintenance and repair work.
8. Assist in the setup and installation of new machinery and equipment.
9. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
10. Communicate directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic within the manufacturing industry (food manufacturing experience ideal).
2. Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting, motors, and mechanical maintenance.
3. Proficiency in using manual and electrical hand tools, as well as electrical testing equipment.
4. Sound knowledge of industrial machinery and the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
6. Strong understanding of safety protocols and standards in the industry.
7. Ability to read and understand technical manuals and mechanical/electrical drawings.
8. Physically capable of handling heavy machinery and equipment.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
