Job Description

Homework Coach / Tutor (High School)

Long Beach, CA 90814 | In-Person

We are seeking a Homework Coach / Tutor for a 10th-grade student in Long Beach. The student is bright and curious but struggles with organization, time management, and completing/turning in assignments. There are currently many missing assignments, and homework has become a consistent challenge. The student shows signs of ADHD / ADD, though not formally diagnosed.

This role focuses on executive function support rather than teaching a single subject. The goal is to help the student catch up on missing work, stay organized, meet deadlines, and build sustainable study and planning skills.

Schedule: Saturdays, 1 hour per session

Pay: $50/hour

Location: In-person at the student’s home

Ideal candidate:

Experience working with high school students, strong organizational skills, and comfort supporting students with ADHD-related challenges. Bachelor’s degree and tutoring experience preferred. Training and materials provided.
