Job Title : Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS required

Must-Have :

• Experience in OR or ICU
• OR nurse must have some endoscopy experience
• ICU nurse must have conscious sedation experience

Description :

The position is for an Endoscopy Registered Nurse.

The nurse will work a 4x10 shift from 07 : 00 to 17 : 30.

Call requirement is one night per week and every third weekend.

Holiday requirement includes one on-call shift if needed.

Weekend call is required every third weekend.

The guaranteed hours per week are 40.

The scrub color will be provided.

Charting is done using Cerner.

The unit provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.

Patient age groups treated include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Daily census ranges from 15 to 30 patients.

The unit performs various special procedures such as ERCP, EGD, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy.

Skills required include administering conscious sedation, airway management, and specimen handling.

The nurse should also be able to monitor conscious sedation and have experience with IV insertion.

Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment.

Conduct issues, including unprofessional behavior or shift call-offs, are taken seriously and may result in contract termination.
