OVERVIEW :
The Salvation Army is seeking applicants for a full-time case manager. This position is part of the Joseph McFee Center (JMC), a recovery focused transitional housing program for San Franciscans exiting residential treatment. The JMC program provides participants with the opportunity to build on progress made in early recovery and to work toward a healthy, independent and prosperous life. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Case Manager’s main goal is to address the needs of JMC participants and cultivate a transformative community based on the program's principles of recovery, accountability, and service. The case manager is responsible for assessing client needs, developing goal plans, providing referral and resource coordination services, client advocacy, crisis intervention, monitoring and evaluating client progress, documenting, and reporting client interactions and services, collaborating with staff and partner organizations, empowering and educating clients and adhering to professional ethics while maintaining client confidentiality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
High school diploma. (College course work in social services or psychology preferred).
Valid CA Driver License and completion of organization’s driver safety training within introductory period.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
COMPENSATION : $28 - 31 (hourly)
