Job Title : Drupal Software Engineer Senior

Job Overview : The Drupal Software Engineer Senior serves as a senior technical lead supporting the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) enterprise web platform. This role is responsible for the engineering operations maintenance and continuous improvement of DOTs Drupal-based Content Management System (CMS) and any future CMS platforms adopted during the BPA period of performance.

This position requires a minimum of ten (10) years of overall professional software development experience including at least eight (8) years of hands-on Drupal CMS platform engineering experience within controlled federal or similarly regulated environments. The role places a strong emphasis on security accessibility (Section 508 / WCAG) automated testing integrations performance optimization and reliable deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Drupal Platform Engineering & Operations

• Perform ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) of the DOT Drupal CMS platform including Drupal core and contributed module updates patching upgrades and compatibility validation.
• Design develop and maintain enterprise Drupal templates content types workflows and reusable components aligned with DOT standards and governance.
• Monitor and implement Drupal community releases to ensure platform stability security and performance.

The projected compensation range for this position is $90000 to $150000 per year benchmarked in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
