This position will be located at Palmdale, CA and is assigned to a 2nd shift 4 / 10 schedule (Monday-Thursday). (Working hours are typically 2 : 30 pm to 1 : 00 am.) Selected candidate must be willing to work extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as required to meet program schedule and objectives. / ppWe are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do. In this role, you will be assessing and dispositioning non-conformances as they occur in our test environment. The selected candidate will author detailed engineering direction as well as collaborate readily with support engineering roles in order to ensure the integrity of the final product. Key responsibilities include : / pulliAct as engineering authority for non-conformances / liliAssess, disposition, and buy off non-conformance (MRB) tags and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as they arise in the flight test environment / liliCoordinate with a team of multiple disciplines engineers to determine effective solutions to defects that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives / liliBasic knowledge of subsystems (electrical, hydraulics, fuels, fluids and propulsion systems) installations, composite structures, metallic structures / liliMaintain integrity of the Material Review Board (MRB) process and engineering authority / liliSome of the tools youll be using are NX, VisPro, MES, and TeamCenter / li / ulpThis position can be filled at either the Aeronautical Engineer (Liaison MRB) OR Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Liaison MRB) level, depending upon the qualifications below. / ppBasic Qualifications for Aeronautical Engineer (Liaison MRB) : / pulliBachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Masters Degree in a STEM discipline / liliAbility to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance. This must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. / li / ulpBasic Qualifications for Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Liaison MRB) : / pulliBachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Masters Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience. / liliAbility to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance. This must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. / li / ulpPreferred Qualifications for both levels : / pulliPrevious or current MRB Liaison Engineer signature authority. / liliExperience with TeamCenter and NX, Visualization Professional, or other CAD program / liliExperience working hands-on in a production assembly line environment / liliExperience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) (3-D model engineering definition) / liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities / liliIn-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance / li / ulpPrimary Level Salary Range : $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range : $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
