Baroody Camps, Inc. provides enrichment programs to school children in various counties throughout the Virginia / Maryland area. We are looking for individuals who are interested in making a positive impact in children's lives through teaching various subjects such as Science, STEM, Cooking, and Sports. The ideal instructor is someone who has previous experience teaching or coaching students, can teach multiple departments, and work with a variety of curriculum to deliver quality enrichment instruction to students. We look for candidates with availability between 215P-545P which is peak program time for us!

  • Falls Church, VA
  • Arlington, VA
  • Chantilly, VA
  • Centreville, VA
  • Alexandria, VA
  • Fairfax, VA
  • Springfield, VA

Start Date : Mid September 2025

Compensation : $25-$40 / hour, based on experience

Typical Hours : 3 -5 hours per week (hours potential is greater with multiple skill sets!)

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Prepare room for class each day, sometimes setting up classroom or maneuvering equipment
  • Teach and inspire 8-15 students with provided curriculum in a structured environment (about 1.5-2 hours per day)
  • Overall equipment management between cooking supplies, computer technology, and sports supplies
  • Manage the children in an appropriate and safe manner
  • Ensure students are safely dismissed following class
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and Baroody Camps staff
  • Implement COVID-19 policies and procedures
  • Commute to and from Falls Church facility for weekly supplies (Science / Cooking)

    • Qualifications and Skills :

  • Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of classroom management and customer service skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • Must be available to teach at least 2-3 times per week
  • Reliable Vehicle transportation required
