We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Distribution Engineer to join our team at K&A Engineering in Cary, North Carolina. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:

• Design and engineer medium voltage (1kV to 35kV) overhead and underground power distribution systems
• Perform scope analysis of work assignments and maintain schedule adherence to align with client priorities
• Perform QAQC and Final Reviews of project deliverables
• Provide technical oversight to solve complex problems with minimal supervision
• Assist with pole loading analysis calculations and equipment sizing for residential projects
• Assist with fielding work if needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university is required
• 3+ years of Distribution Design experience is required
• Previous Duke Energy project experience is required; design QAQC/review experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability or experience with Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and Pole Foreman
• Katapult experience is a plus
• Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures
• Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Report to the Cary, NC, office on a daily basis

Pay Range $65,000-$75,000/annually
