Forklift Operator, Steel Yard (Heavy Equipment Operator)

Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Play an active part in the safe work performance of the team, ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
• Work closely with the Plant Manager and Shipping Supervisor in the assigned work area to ensure optimum workflow.
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Operates equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Experience in a structural steel fabrication environment or lumberyard strongly preferred.
• Experience with heavy duty forklifts strongly preferred, specifically Hyster J90XN, J155XNL, and/or H190XD.

NOTE: The interview will include a driving/balancing test.
