Description
Under general direction of the Director Accounting, responsible for the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation and
maintenance of general ledger accounts, preparation of specified accounting records for month end closing, and analysis.
1. Analyzes monthly financial reports, journal entry preparation and postings to the general ledger for various accounts.
2. Responsible for general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation and month end closing.
3. Acts as liaison by coordinating accounting matters between regional accounting, divisional associates and other
department managers.
4. Assists in the preparation of various financial reports such as Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable reconciliation,
sub-ledgers and balance sheet accounts, expense analysis, daily / monthly cash balance reporting, monthly bank
reconciliation and depreciation records.
5. Records transactions to journals and general ledger.
6. Prepares trend analysis and other special analysis as required.
7. Generates ad hoc accounting reports as needed.
8. Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or
similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor’s Degree program, technical vocational
training, or equivalent combination of experience and education; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA / CPA
Candidate preferred. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible
experience. Background in healthcare and public accountant experience is preferred.

4. Experience working with multiple facilities / branches preferred
5. Working knowledge of accounting and planning software packages
6. Takes initiative
7. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
8. Strong interpersonal skills
9. Strong mathematical and analytical skills
10. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
11. Experience with Essbase / Hyperion is preferred
12. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (intermediate or advanced) and PowerPoint
