Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with individualized care plans and established clinical protocols
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, dressing, and mobility
- Safely transfer, position, and ambulate patients using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Monitor patients’ physical and emotional condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Accurately document patient care, observations, and vital information in electronic or paper medical records
- Support pediatric patients and their families with compassion, reassurance, and clear communication
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
- Follow infection prevention and control policies, including proper use of PPE and aseptic techniques
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
- Uphold patient rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- Nursing Assistant certification (CNA)
- Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, clinic, or long-term care setting preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and common patient care practices
- Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist patients with mobility (with or without assistive devices)
- Familiarity with infection control standards and infectious disease protocols
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and standard precautions
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
