Clinician I or II, Quality Assurance, Substance Use Disorder (Registered Intern (for Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor)

Performs counseling and administrative functions as delegated by the SPO and Clinical Supervisor and oversees the general safety and well-being of the Outpatient Treatment Center clients through counseling relationships in the treatment program. Provides LPHA (Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts) duties, such as determining and documenting medical necessity for Level Of Care Assessments 1.0 Outpatient and 2.1,Intensive Outpatient Clients. Will be proficient in providing medical necessity for Continuations of Stay, Withdrawal Management 3.2, and Thirty (30) Day Extensions) for Outpatient clients when necessary. Reviews and approves treatment plans and problems lists. Provides comprehensive drug treatment to 1.0 Outpatient and LOC 2.1. American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Level of Care clients and provides mental health services to outpatient clients as needed. Conducts reviews of outpatient charts for quality assurance purposes to ensure that they meet Department of Health Care Services, Drug-Medi-cal and CARF standards. Determines that the chart contents meet those standards and identifies the need for additional training. Provides documentation training and supports to staff as needed.

Minimum qualifications: The Clinician I or II , Substance Abuse Disorders position requires resourcefulness, problem solving and clinical skills and must be able to work effectively in varied situations. Must possess knowledge about addiction and sound addiction treatment practices. Must be able to relate to persons of varied backgrounds, possess knowledge of counseling techniques and treatment skills, and work supportively with other treatment staff. Registered Intern (for Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) under the rules of the Board of Behavioral Science of California, or enrolled in an accredited Doctoral program in Psychology or hold a doctoral degree in Psychology acceptable to the California Board of Psychology.

Salary $76,042-$92,429/year Clinician I or $92,054-$111,893/year Clinician II. Additional 5% if bilingual (E/S). Generous benefits package including medical, vision and dental. AA/EOE.
