Job Details

  • Behavioral Health Float Pool Psych RN Nights & EOW – 36hrs.
  • Unit Name : Behavioral Health Float Pool – Psych RN.
  • Brief Unit Description : This position will float to various mental health units throughout the hospital (Pedi, Adult & Geri Psych).
  • Years of Experience Required : 2 years minimum.
  • Skill Sets Required : Trauma informed, patient-centered, and verbally capable of de-escalating patients. Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in electronic health records documentation, preferably EPIC; proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects.
  • Clinician to Patient Ratio : Unit specific. Pedi Psych is : 1 to 3. Adult & Geri Psych is 1 : 7 or 8.
  • Patient Population : Children Ages 3-17, Adults 18 – 65, and Geriatric Adults 66+.
  • EMR (Charting System) : EPIC.
  • Floating Required : Yes, to all behavioral health areas within the Epstein Units and AMHU.
  • Rotating Shifts Required : Yes, for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p & 7p-7a). Rotation not required for Night Shift.

  • Massachusetts RN License.
  • AHA BLS Certification.
  • Certification in De-escalation.

  • Nights & EOW

  • AVADE training offered on-site as well as lead EKG training.
