Sales Representative (Commission-Based, 1099) – Indiana Connection Magazine

Reach Indiana households. Build Indiana business.

Indiana Connection, the official publication of Indiana’s electric cooperatives, is delivered to nearly 300,000 households every month , making it one of the most widely read magazines in the state. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and motivated sales representative to connect Indiana-based businesses with our engaged readership.

About the Role :

  • Freelance / independent contractor position (1099).
  • Sell advertising space to Indiana-based companies looking to reach nearly 300,000 Hoosier households.
  • Manage your own sales pipeline — from prospecting and presenting to closing.
  • Provide services independently while representing Indiana Connection in a professional manner.
  • Non-exclusive : you may also sell advertising for other publications or businesses.

Compensation :

  • 15% commission on all advertising sales .
  • No cap on earnings — the more you sell, the more you earn.
  • Freelance contractor role : no salary, no benefits. (No taxes withheld.)

    • Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in advertising, media, or B2B sales is a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Based in Indiana and familiar with local markets.
