Loss Prevention Specialist

Position Purpose:

The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s assets by minimizing financial loss due to theft and fraud. This position involves ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs across assigned stores. Key responsibilities include:

• Utilizing various tools to identify incidents of theft and fraud.
• Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports to analyze security incidents.
• Monitoring physical security measures within the store.
• Auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance systems.
• Promoting a culture focused on reducing shrinkage in the store.
• Preparing detailed reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
• Preserving evidence and collaborating with law enforcement.
• Providing testimony in criminal and civil court cases as required.

Additionally, the Loss Prevention Specialist must promptly report any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and execute responsibilities in a way that ensures safety for themselves, fellow associates, vendors, and customers. Demonstrating integrity and maintaining focus on business objectives are essential for supporting asset protection and operational tasks effectively.
