The Tax Senior is a vital member of Simplot’s Tax Department, contributing to the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Simplot’s tax compliance and reporting processes. This position is responsible for preparing detailed workpapers to support tax compliance, preparing federal and state income tax returns, and assisting in the domestic income tax provision process. The Tax Senior will also manage the tax fixed asset processes and collaborate with the fixed asset accounting team to ensure the proper application of depreciation methods and useful lives. Additional duties include monitoring tax law, researching tax issues, and responding promptly to tax notices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, an ability to work independently with limited supervision, and a commitment to enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of current processes.
