So, if you’ve been looking to use your PR and publicity skills to really make a difference – on issues that are all over the news right now — look no further.

Nitty Gritty

In collaboration with the executive team, you’ll be developing PR/social strategy, pitching media, managing campaigns and agencies for clients, developing content and analyzing overall results. Sometimes your efforts will be directly tied to a bigger communications plan, and sometimes you’ll be driving earned-media strategies, PR and publicity around the campaigns for your clients.

Supporting the organization’s thought leadership is also key in this role—from working on speeches and talking points for spokespeople to helping create media relationships and continuing to grow relationships with editors, reporters, bloggers, content platforms, and other major influencers.

No two days are ever the same here, and frankly, they wouldn’t have it any other way. You’ll be working with super-smart and driven people–there’s more than enough esprit de corps to go around.

Your background may be on the agency-side, editorial or as part of a major brand or nonprofit’s internal team. Regardless, you’re charting the pulse of the news-cycle and are unafraid to pick up the phone and pitch a reporter directly. The ideal person needs to quickly develop relationships with top national news outlets and and drive media relations across the board.

To sum up, you’re a self-starter who’s confident and creative, and an amazing communicator, both verbally and in writing.
